The Royal Albert Dock is based in Liverpool, England. Designed by Jesse Hartley and Philip Hardwick, the dock and the warehouse buildings were opened in 1846. It was known simply as the Albert Dock until 2018, when it was granted a royal charter and had the honorific "Royal" added to its name. At the time of its construction, the dock was revolutionary in its design because ships were loaded and unloaded directly from or to the warehouses. Today the Royal Albert Dock is a major tourist attraction in the city and is a vital component of Liverpool's UNESCO designated World Heritage Maritime Mercantile City.

We are delighted to bring you another puzzle from the mind of Britain’s premier cartoon illustrator, Mike Jupp. The ‘I Love’ range continues to delight jigsaw puzzle fans year after year and will amuse both young and old as they piece together the mayhem. I Love Autumn completes Mike’s hilarious take on the British seasons and illustrates once again his capacity to capture the comical and ridiculous side of everyday life. Autumn brings with it falling leaves, fireworks and, of course, Halloween – none are exempt from Mike’s sharp wit. The beauty of the charming fishing village of Mousehole delights the many thousands of visitors that love Cornwall. Nestling on the south coast, on the shore of Mounts Bay, it offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants for all tastes. Amongst the many chapters in its proud history is the night of 19th December 1981, when the Penlee lifeboat put out in hurricane force winds and capsized with the loss of all on-board. The old slipway at Penlee Point is preserved as a memorial. Beautifully painted by artist Terry Harrison, this 1,000 piece puzzle is made from the highest quality 100% recycled board and is therefore a pleasure to handle again and again. Each season brings a new village event to the local community of Slingsby. From the Maypole parade on the village green to the annual firework display on Bonfire Night, there’s something for everyone all year round. This puzzle has four individual 500 piece jigsaws in one box, each of which are made from 100% recycled, high-quality board.

Gateway to Snowdoniaby BARRY FREEMANEarly morning on a bright day in the early summer of 1957, against a backdrop on Conway Castle and the estuary of the River Conway, Britannia' class 4-6-2 No. 70045, soon to be names Lord Rowallan' coast into Llandudno Junction station with an express from Holyhead to London. On an adjacent track, Ivatt class 2' 2-6-0 No. 46447 departs for Llandudno Town to collect the daily pick-up freight. The Britannia' class Pacifics' were introduced by British Railways in January 1951. Altogether fifty-five were built, the last appearing in 1954. They had a comparatively short working life, the first being withdrawn in favour of diesel in June 1965. Two examples are preserved, Nos. 70000 Britannia' and 70013 Oliver Cromwell'.

This 500 piece puzzle depicts a community celebrating on Monday 7th May 1945, following six years of war. The nation and indeed the whole world erupted into scenes of jubilation following the unconditional surrender by Germany’s General Jodl. The war in Europe was over. Within minutes of the announcement, many thousands of people gathered on the streets of Great Britain to celebrate the event. Bonfires were lit, street parties took place, and in London over 50,000 people filled the streets between Trafalgar Square and Big Ben as three Lancaster bombers flew overhead, dropping red and green flares. The Royal Family together with Winston Churchill came out onto the balcony at Buckingham Palace to be greeted and cheered by the waiting crowds.That evening, two searchlights made a giant V above St Paul’s Cathedral as the celebrations continued well into the night. The following day May 8th was declared VE Day and a national holiday, to officially celebrate Victory in Europe.
